CAMS is delighted to announce it will continue its proud support of young British cyclists into the 2026 season as the newly formed CAMS MAJACO junior cycling team launches a powerful new pathway to the professional ranks.
Having previously supported the highly regarded Fensham Howes–MAS Design–CAMS junior team, CAMS will now back the next evolution of elite British junior development following the merger of Fensham Howes–MAS Design and Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco. The newly unified squad will operate under the CAMS MAJACO banner from 2026, running comprehensive junior programmes for both boys and girls.
This exciting development was officially launched on 7th February, in Wetherby, where team managers Giles Pidcock and Ian Mansel-Thomas presented the team’s vision for the future.
A new era for junior cycling
The 2026 CAMS MAJACO programme will feature:
- An 11-rider junior boys squad
- A 10-rider junior girls squad
The merger brings together two of the UK’s most successful development teams, creating what many are already describing as a ‘super team’ for British junior cycling.
From the start of the 2026 season, Ineos Grenadiers will partner with CAMS MAJACO clear and structured pathway towards the WorldTour, offering young riders access to world-class expertise, performance insight and equipment.
The partnership ensures riders will be “on a level playing field with any of the WorldTour-funded junior teams,” underlining the ambition behind the project. Further coverage from INEOS Grenadiers and journalist Daniel Benson has highlighted the significance of two leading British junior squads combining to strengthen the domestic development landscape.
Through the relationship with INEOS Grenadiers, riders will benefit directly from the World Tour squad’s technical expertise and performance environment, including the supply of Pinarello bikes throughout the season.
Commitment to youth development
CAMS has long championed grassroots and development cycling, recognising both the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of the sport and the importance of structured pathways for young athletes.
Alan Sellers, Chairman of Anexo Group Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the new chapter:
“We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting young British cyclists through this new CAMS MAJACO team. Creating meaningful opportunities for young people has always been important to us, and cycling is something we care deeply about – both as supporters of the sport and as cyclists ourselves.
This new partnership represents an exciting and ambitious pathway for the next generation of British riders. It’s a privilege to work alongside the team and their partners to help strengthen the future of cycling in Britain and provide talented young athletes with the platform they deserve.”
CAMS ambassador support
CAMS Ambassadors Ed Clancy and Alex Dowsett attended the launch event. As in previous years, they will support the team by giving junior riders an insight into what it takes to become a professional cyclist. The pair will act as a sounding board for the riders and guide them on the broader aspects of becoming high-performing individuals, including working effectively as part of a team, performing under pressure, overcoming adversity, and recovering from setbacks, failures, and injuries—drawing on the knowledge and experience gained from their extensive and successful careers
Season ahead
We look forward to an exciting season ahead and are delighted to be supporting these young riders. We wish the very best of luck to the team and know that they are in great hands with team managers Giles Pidcock and Ian Mansel-Thomas.
